Digital Perfec[tion]

Way back when I first started blogging and actually reading fashion blogs, I stumbled across Strawberry Singh’s blog. I think I found her’s through a picture on Flickr actually… anyway, at the time she issued the first ever digit challenge. Seeing as though I was constantly messing with Katy’s body, I took the challenge and blogged about it HERE.

Fast forward to last year. Berry issued the same challenge again. I snapped my picture, but never posted a blog or posted the picture on Flickr. I don’t remember why, but I think I was having computer issues. Katy’s shape had done a drastic change. It was the mesh revolution, so proportions of  her body slimmed down and filled out in different areas. (See Below)

Now … it’s been a year and the challenge is issued again. You can read about “What’s Your Digits?” right HERE and learn more about the challenge. I measured myself again. There wasn’t a lot of drastic changes, just my height and a bit of my legs, but all in all, I stayed pretty much the same. Maybe it’s got to do with mesh or just the fact that I love the unique style of Katy’s face. (Newest one below)

DigitBerry also asked us a few questions:

  1. Do you try and keep your avatar’s body proportionate and similar to the “average” proportions pictured above? – I think I have a very “average” shaped avatar. I’m not too tall, too short. I don’t over extend my hips, my breasts, or saddle bag myself. So I have to say I’m average.
  2. What do you dislike the most about the SL avatar mesh? – The feet and the point shoulder blades, kneecaps and elbows. I dislike when I find a great pose and cannot use it because I’m too angular. It would be nice not to use PS so much to smooth these out.
  3. Does it bother you when you see other avatars that are not proportionate at all? – Newp. To each their own. It’s their SL.
  4. Even though this is a virtual world and people can be anything they want to be, do you feel when they are in human form, they should try to keep their proportions close to average? No. If I were to keep my own form in SL, I think I would cry. I like being who I am. That’s the whole point right?

So you know what I’m wearing: >TRUTH< / Glam Affair / Gos Boutique / Slink / Kyoot / Di’s Opera
