I decided to do Strawberry Singh’s meme: Intriguing Questions.
How do you deal with criticism?
I think I deal with criticism pretty well. In real life, it’s just part of what needs to happen to better myself. In Second Life, I do ask for constructive feedback – because how will I not learn if I’m doing something wrong? There are a lot of times that I wish I would ask for advice or a critic from people, especially if it’s going to make my pictures and what I do better in the long wrong. Now, I’m not going to say I like it ALL the time. It needs to be warranted. If someone is coming at me all the time and giving me criticism on my work, I’m going to find that person is just being rude.
What’s the most infuriating thing other SL residents do?
Pick apart relationships. I hate it. I hate it with a passion. Nothing infuriates me more than someone who can sit there and belittle, make comments, and act holier than thou about another’s relationship because THEY don’t believe it’s right. YET – at the same time they’re partnered to someone in world and married in real life. It’s a double standard. Nothing irritates me more. Get over it already. People are here to connect, have different types of relationships and what they do is their own thing. It’s THEIR world.
Which SL resident would you most like to have lunch with and why?
I would love to have lunch with many different residents, but one comes to mind – Gospel Voom. It’s because charcoal is better than propane in the grilling world and I want to rub it in his face. Propane is FAKE grilling!
Who would you say is your “anti” role model?
Anti….anti…I don’t really know. There are a few people that I can do without, or basically wish I would never see them – but it is what it is. As long as it doesn’t bother me, I can deal with most people.
What was something you used to enjoy, but was ruined for you?
I think everyone will say Plurk. That’s a big one. I think another is blogging – at times. I’ve written about it before, how blogging sometimes feels blah and people make it out to be a competition on who is the quickest, best and have no problem with trampling over people to get what they want. I’m trying to change that in my own way for my own self.
What’s something you want to do that you’d be embarrassed to tell other people about?
I’ve never stripped in SL. I’d like to try it. Oh and learn how to terraform. I can’t build at ALL.
What’s the oddest term of endearment you’ve ever used or that someone’s used for you?
Honestly, I don’t know.
Have you ever fallen in love with another SL resident?
Who hasn’t? Yes and it’s painful and joyful at the same time.
Describe a time/event in your slife that you’re nostalgic for.
When I first took Katya to Perdition (an urban roleplay sim that is closed now) and really began to RP fully again. I miss those days of spending hours just immersed in a storyline and breathing life into my character. Katy had such a wonderful story and it showed me how much I loved to write again. I miss those days. I just don’t have the time now.
What’s something sweet you’d like someone to do for you?
I’ve been blessed with a lot in Second Life in regards to what people have done for me. Probably more so than others, and I’m very humbled by it. BUT – I would love to be able to offer to my friends anything they wanted, especially in regards to their happiness. That would make things pretty cool.
